When your back is against the wall, you find out fast what works and what doesn't. We rebuilt from near zero — and spent the next 17+ years applying those hard lessons to help other businesses grow. We don't just know digital marketing. We know what's at stake.
Our story starts with nearly losing everything.
In the late 1990s, our founder Todd Tyler was a Financial Advisor. Sales, marketing, operations — he learned all of it firsthand in an industry where if you couldn't produce, you were out. He was good at it. Good enough that when he left to start his own consulting firm in 2006, he had every reason to believe it would work.
It almost didn't.
By the end of 2008, the business was hanging by a thread. The market had collapsed, clients were pulling back, and everything he'd built — the business, the security, the identity he'd staked his adult life on — was on the line. He was staring into the abyss.
So he did what you do when your back is against the wall: he started over.
Digital marketing wasn't a career path he planned. It was a necessity. The early years were trial, error, and stubbornness — a lot of all three. He found a tight-knit community of marketers who were all figuring it out at the same time — sharing what worked, cutting what didn't, and building something real through sheer trial and persistence.
What he learned then still drives how we work today: marketing should connect problem-solvers with the people who have those problems. Not generate noise. Not inflate vanity metrics. Not impress anyone with activity that doesn't lead to revenue.
Renew Marketing was founded in 2011. In the years since, we've helped businesses across more than a dozen industries — senior living networks, urgent care chains, home services contractors, ecommerce brands, healthcare providers, and more — grow, scale, and in some cases, exit.
We're not the largest agency. We don't want to be. We'd rather do excellent work for a focused group of clients who want a real partner — not a vendor who takes orders and sends monthly reports full of metrics that don't mean anything.
These aren't values we put on a wall. They're the way we actually operate — with clients, with each other, and with the resources entrusted to us.
That's intentional. We've learned over 17 years that the best work happens when both sides are the right fit for each other. Here's how to know if that's you.
If none of those apply, you're probably exactly the type of client we do our best work with.
Every engagement starts the same way: we figure out where you are, where you want to go, and what's standing in the way. Then we get to work — together.
Before we touch a single campaign, we sit down and learn your business — your goals, your customers, what's worked, what hasn't, and what keeps you up at night. We're not here to pitch a package. We're here to understand what success actually looks like for you.
We move on two tracks at once. While building your long-term roadmap, we identify quick wins — things we can fix or launch right away to generate early momentum. You shouldn't have to wait 90 days to see something happen.
Marketing isn't a set-it-and-forget-it activity. We build, launch, and measure — then optimize relentlessly. What's working gets more resources. What isn't gets cut or changed. You'll always know what's happening and why.
We treat your marketing budget the way we'd treat our own money — because trust matters more than billings. Every recommendation we make is grounded in what's best for your business, not what's most profitable for ours.
We'll challenge your assumptions when we think you're wrong. We'll tell you when something isn't working — even if we built it. And we'll celebrate the wins with you, because your growth is the whole point. That's not a vendor relationship. That's a partnership.
There's one way to find out. Schedule a 30-minute discovery call. No pressure, no pitch, no obligation. We'll talk about your business, your marketing, and whether we're the right agency to help you grow.
